The American Astronomical Society's Division on Dynamical Astronomy (DDA) is pleased
to announce that the 2025 Dirk Brouwer Career Award is given to Dr. Robin Canup for her work in solar system dynamics.  She is most well known for her influential work on the Moon-forming and other giant impacts, related implications in terms of isotopic chemistry, and was a pioneer in the application of large hydrocodes to study giant impacts and disk-moon interactions. She is recognized for original formation and evolutionary scenarios for numerous planetary, moon, and ring systems.

Dr. Canup has been involved in many leadership roles within academia and professional societies, including co-chairing the recent Planetary Science and Astrobiology Decadal Survey with a report entitled "Origins, Worlds, and Life: A Decadal Strategy for Planetary Science and Astrobiology 2023-2032" and serving as Vice President at Southwest Research Institute.

Dr. Canup will be invited to give a lecture at the 57th annual DDA meeting, which will be held in Chicago in spring 2026.
